WebP export

Export any image to WebP format — Google's modern image format that delivers smaller file sizes with equivalent quality.

📐 Resize with aspect lock

Set a target width or height and the other dimension adjusts automatically to maintain the original aspect ratio.

🎛 Quality control

Adjust output quality from 1–100% for JPEG and WebP to find the right balance between file size and visual quality.

🔒 100% private

All conversion happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device.

How to use the Image Converter

When to use PNG vs WebP vs JPEG

PNG is best for images with sharp edges, text, logos, and anything that needs a transparent background. It uses lossless compression so quality is never degraded. WebP is Google's modern format that supports both lossy and lossless compression and typically produces files 25-35% smaller than PNG or JPEG at equivalent quality. JPEG is best for photographs and images with smooth color gradients where small compression artifacts are acceptable.

Why convert SVG to PNG?

SVGs are resolution-independent vectors that look perfect at any size, but many platforms and tools don't support them. App stores require PNG icons. Email clients often don't render SVG. Some CMS platforms and social media sites reject SVG uploads. Converting to PNG at the right resolution gives you a pixel-perfect raster image that works everywhere.

Choosing the right resolution

For web use, 72-96 PPI is standard. For retina/HiDPI displays, double your target dimensions (so a 100×100 icon becomes 200×200). For print, you need at least 300 DPI — multiply your print size in inches by 300 to get the pixel dimensions needed.
